The JQ Challenge 👑
The JQ Challenge is a flexible, 30-day movement game built to fit real life, busy schedules, and unpredictable travel. Earn points on your terms—whether that’s a 10-minute hotel room core burn, a 3-mile walk, or a heavy full-body dumbbell session in the gym. No rigid schedules, no all-or-nothing guilt: just show up when you can, stack points, and watch your consistency compound.
This will open a window where you can save a copy to your Google Drive
🎯 The Goal:
Accumulate as many points as you can over the next 30 days by completing any number of the challenges below. These aren’t just workouts that you do at the gym. Some challenges can be completed with no weights at home or in your hotel room. Others require a set of dumbbells and a full gym. These aren't just workouts, you can complete some challenges and earn points by walking or running during the day (in addition to your normal steps). Some days you might knock out 2 challenges, while others one or none. The goal isn't perfection or even consistency; it's just showing up and collecting as many points as you can that day. Feeling sore or tired? Hit a core challenge for a couple of points. Feeling great, well rested? Grab 3 points on the elliptical and hit a dumbbell workout for 3 more.
📜 The Rules:
You must complete a challenge to earn the points. No fractions here. If you start the challenge and can’t finish it, too bad. That’s why there are so many challenges. Pick something you can complete that day. If you’re traveling, pick a 3 mile walk and a body weight challenge you can do in your hotel room, or don’t pick any at all and hit the gym for an elliptical and 5 point dumbbell challenge when you get home. There’s no shame in being too busy to workout because you have a job or a life.
🏹 The Point:
Your body doesn’t know the days of the week or your calendar of events. It just does what it’s told. If it’s not challenged for a month because you had work and family travel, it just settles in to that routine. If you’re a rich movie star and you can work out 30 days in a row and pay a fitness coach and chef, your body will probably look different. The purpose of the challenge is do as much as you realistically can do. Just because you don’t have millions of dollars and a free 4 hours a day because your chef prepares your meals while your assistant takes care of all your calls and emails while your nanny runs the kids to day care, doesn’t mean you have to abandon fitness altogether. Although, that does sound pretty awesome while also making those movie star body transformations look easy. Unfortunately, the standard for body composition is set by the people who have enough money to pay for it. Meanwhile, the working class needs to, um, work, and keep up with the latest standards in fitness sold by or endorsed by people who literally do that shit for a living.
⏭️ The Next Step:
Screw the non-working class. Work out when you can how you can. This is not how a millionaire gets perfect abs. Shouldn’t they all have that BTW? This is you working in some exercise into your busy day, and grabbing some points! When you have time and are sufficiently recovered, get as many as you can. When you don’t think you have time, try to squeeze in a challenge to get a couple points. If you can’t, you can’t. There’s always another day to go all out. Your body is the sum of what you do in total, not what you commit to but can’t finish so you don’t do anything at all. Either do a workout or don’t today. The sum of what you did in 30 days will influence how you feel and look. Unrealistic and unattainable goals will hold you back.
Pick a challenge and just F’n do it!
🏔️ The Challenges:
Every challenge below is worth points. Complete one or more a day or build them into your schedule. Track your points over 30 days. The more points, the more you have stressed your body and the more results you will see, not on day 2 or week 2, a full 30 days of accumulating strain and pushing your limits will start to show the physiologic changes as your body adapts to consistent stress. Remember, consistency to your body doesn’t mean hitting the gym every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Muscles are stupid and can’t tell time much less read a calendar, but they will learn to get their ass in shape if you consistently ask them to do something with the time that you have available. Don’t waste time you could be doing body weight squats wishing you had time to go to the gym to do squats with a bar on your back. Do you think your quads know the difference between 20 body weight squats and 10 barbell squats with weight? Unless you’re training for a world record squat, don’t do nothing when you could do some body weight squats between meetings in a hotel room.
