What does 1RM mean?

RM = Repetition Maximum

1 RM = a lift or exercise that you can only complete once. For example, you can deadlift 400lbs one time and on the second consecutive attempt you fail.

Many call it your “max” lift. “My max bench-press is 225lbs” means I can bench press 225 only once.
