Practice doesn't make perfect.
The old adage, “Practice makes Perfect” is wrong in several ways. No. 1 if you’re practicing the skill wrong, then you’re just going to engrain wrong technique and bad habits. Secondly, no one is ever done practicing, and no ball player is perfect. The best of the best practice every day.

It's all about "good" reps.
The ONLY reps that count towards learning a new skill are the ones that are done correctly. While you will, and should, fail often when learning a new skill, I recommend only counting the “makes” or the times you correctly completed the skill

Learn to fail, and fail often.
These are tough lessons, but the most successful people are the ones who aren’t afraid of failing and learn from their mistakes. Practice should be hard. Push yourself to master skills that you can’t do on your first or second attempt.
