FAQ: Do I need creatine?
In a word, No.
Yes, there are some good studies on performance improvements with creatine in top athletes training at a very high level. My interpretation of this is that when you teen becomes a pro athlete, and their full-time job is sports performance, then they can hire a nutritionist to get their body what it needs for training 8 hours a day.
For now, creatine won’t do anything other than a placebo effect at best for a teen athlete. There is so much room for growth in coordination, neuromuscular connections, and “natural” muscle growth, other than a healthy diet, nothing is needed for incredible gains in the gym and on the court.
